Have you asked yourself what Health really is?
Health in itself is a fascinating word, what we know it to translate to is, ‘wholeness’ or ‘being sound or well’.
What then does Homeopathy aim to achieve as a wholistic or holistic therapy? It is the collective systems of a person that we need to address.
The collectives systems are the physical mental and emotional bodies. These are the most commonly know bodies and are what most therapists aim to harmonise. It would be useful to add the soul and spirit to extend these systems, now have five bodies for reference.
The founder of Homeopathy and German Physician, Dr Samuel Hahnemann, created Homeopathy as a way or system of treatment to reduce harmful side effects to his patients. His work was highly successful in achieving this, and 200 years later, we owe much gratitude to him for his efforts and groundbreaking work.
Homeopathy a Holistic Approach
Homeopathy is a complementary therapy, and it is worth mentioning that I do not use the word alternative. It is complimentary because you can use Homeopatyhy it alongside any existing drugs and other therapies.
Homeopathy can also be used individually in many other situations. Here are some examples of what we can use homeopathy for solely, allergies, stress, colds & flu, aching muscles, grief, trauma and acne.
When prescribed drugs involved, it may take extra time for homeopathic remedies push through and stimulate the systems balancing process.
Prescribed drugs use a chemical process that can mask the symptoms and alter an individual’s state. But they do not work on the holistic principle of the five collective systems of body, mind, emotions, soul and spirit. Hence the remedies may need more time to establish a response in many cases.
An extract taken from the 'Traveling Homeopathic Collective'.
Homeopathy is a form of medicine that has existed in its present form for over two hundred years but which has its roots in more ancient ideas.
It respects the efforts that the body makes to counter disease and instead of fighting these efforts it offers support and encouragement. It does this by matching the remedy’s effect to the actions that the body is already taking through the symptoms of the disease.
Homeopaths have available several thousand remedies whose actions have been observed through clinical practice and through provings, in which healthy volunteers take the remedies and carefully observe the effects of them.
People of all ages, cultures, and race can now widely access homeopathy for a myriad of conditions. Below is a shortlist of Physical, Emotional and Mental imbalances that people consider when seeking a Homeopath.
